I bought one on Ebay for about $50, the Hypertech Thermomaster and installed the 160 thermostat. The main reason I wanted it was to turn on my fans sooner (which it does). My guess it about a 20hp increase.

I have the hypertech power programmer.

The "power programming" is useless, expect no gain, or 1hp or 2hp. It's not worth $339.00.

A couple of bonuses though....

1) you can change your fan kick-on temp with a 160stat...
2) you can make the speedo adjustment if you make a gear change.

Again, on my ODBII car, all that can be done by a laptop and someone's software. Again, not worth $339, but valuable for someone.

Patrick is right I used the programer on my 1994 Impala SS and did not notice much of a difference at all, untill I added on the cold air intake, thermostat and msd ignition with the program, I noticed about a 10 to 15 percent increase in power.
