I GIVE UP. This car sucks.

I hate this GS. The car makes no sense.

1) As I lower the tire pressure in the drag radials my 60 foot times get WORSE... like 2.005's.

2) As I raise the tire pressure in the drag radials to say, 30psi, the car cuts 1.840's.

3) My best times are when I had lowsy 60 foot times.

4) My worst times were when I had AWESOME 60 foot times.

5) I cut a 1.840 60 foot time and had 108 mph 1/4 but I turn a 13.40 ??? In my black LT4 car I had the same 60 foot time and 12.70-12.90 ETs.

WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH THIS CAR.

I'm trading it in for a Z06.

Weird when my car was stock I would cut a 2.2 60ft (don't laugh) and run [email protected] sounds like you need a cam ;)

Are you sliping the clutch or dumping it?

Also are you burning the DR's pretty good in the water box or just spinning them some...I know your not suppose to treat them like a slick.

I am now dumping the clutch (much like I am dumping this wacko car).

On street tires I had to slip the clutch to get out of the hole.

Whoa man, I'm starting to think you are being serious! breath in......breath out......breath in......

LT4 is great, if you ask me.....C4's are not Drag strip cars, I always thought it was funny I would run a horriable 60ft time and pull a better MPH than guys running Mid-low 12's....put that thing on a road course or AutoX and you'll have bunches of fun....

Better yet I'm going to be in Benton Harbor MI this Sunday at an AutoX let me know if your intersted. :buhbye:

That sounds awesome!! But, my poor car has drag radials on the back, and not-so-good tires on the front (replacement tires are stacked in the garage). Not condusive to auto-crossing.

I'll bring my new Z06 instead. :partyon:

Thier no Z06 talk anymore :)
I think your Black LT4 was a freak car.

Also consider this, I ran my BEST time at a LOWER MPH..

I was running 110mph with a 2.00 60ft

I then ran 108mph with a 1.95 60ft

The higher MPH means you are making the horsepower but cannot get it to the ground.

I also main dry hop my tires to heat them up, remember they are not a slick.

I'm beginning to wonder as well.

I need to get the GS dyno'd, and I am talking to Mike Kennedy about buying some of his go-fast parts.

Hahaha.... yea, call me a cry baby. :)

I am still pretty pissed at the car. It just isn't turning the times it should be capable of.

Oh well, nothing Nitrous won't help.
Patrick get a grip on yourself man!!! -lol
If you're going to mod the car then don't beat yourself up because you think it can run a tenth or two better than it does.
As for explaining the varying times, welcome to racing. Take into account weather changes and track conditions and anything can happen. There's too many variables to take into account.

My car ran a best of [email protected] w/ a 1.78 60 ft. 2 runs later it ran [email protected] w/ a 1.81 60ft. where'd the 2.25mph go ?
I ran my best mph ever (105.91mph) on a 13.23 pass w/ a 2.05 60ft time.
On one occasion I ran a [email protected] w/ a 1.98 60 ft and on the next pass ran a [email protected] w/ a 2.02 60 ft.
Want to talk about wierd, last Sept @ Byron I ran a [email protected] turned around and ran the same exact mph on my next run but with a slower et.

It never makes sense so don't go doing anything drastic like seling your car anything :D

That makes me feel better. But, I think with the MPH (108) and the drag radials that I should see 12's.
You just need to line-up with me :). Then you'll run the numbers.

If you need some tuning help, I'd be glad to help type on the LT1-Edit keys for ya. Have'nt been around much since I've been working in Austin for the last 6 weeks. I think we are wrapped up there, so I can make Da Grove event :).
