I killed Granddad...but he made me do it
So today I was headed out to lunch in my green 95 convertible and stopped at a light with a dual left hand turn lane, me on the outside lane. Inside was a older Sable with granddad driving and grandma along for the ride.
So the green turn arrow comes on and I turn wide into the middle lane and then to the far right lane of a 3 lane north bound road. Granddad changes to the middle lane and proceeds to start drifting toward the lane stripes and nearly into me. I honk..nothing. Honk again more urgently...he jerks over to the center of his lane.
About half a block later we have to stop a light. I glance over and grandma is scowling at me bigtime. I just shook my head and thought..whatever. So light goes green and I take off at a normal pace. Granddad starts reving his Sable and (as much as a Sable can) blasts off down the road. As he gets next to me I think....this cannot stand, Gramps. So I halfway gun it...and naturally I blow by him like he is reverse. Granddad changed to the left lane and slowed down so he didn't have to see me at the next light.
How embarassing to do that to an old fart like that....but he made me do it!!!!!

Did the guys age really make any difference or that he might be a grandfather.
I have six grandchildren and drive a C6 Z06 so don't categorize grandad's and grandma's.

hey Johnie...age meant nothing... I am an old fart myself and I can't wait till I am a granddad. My son is almost 27 and I tell him all the time I need a grandkid to spoil. All my friends my age are grandparents and based on their experience its the coolest thing since zippers. Dale

I get it! It happens to me, 'though not just when I'm in my Vette. It happens in my Caddy, too. I finally just punch it, and I'm out'a there! Sometimes I think people watch your car, not their driving! Although, I have to admit, I was usually the one dead-in-the-water when I was driving my Wrangler with the giant off-road tires! Ha! A V-6 in a Wrangler just isn't enough!
