Man, I've had some horrible customer service stories throughout my motor build, from the engine block to the oil pan....

So when I ran into an odd misfire that I couldn't sort as timing or a vacuum leak, I got a hand from the guys at Arizona TPI. Thank goodness I went when I did because it wasn't a simple timing issue like I thought, it was in the valvetrain. Whew! Their diagnostic work checked a major internal issue off the list, and they also noted a clearance issue with the plugs I was running. Heck, I needed rockers retightened soon anyways. Very cool! It was good meeting Jeff and talking shop, also helped shoot around ideas for long term drivability with this set up.

Capable and honest mechanics are definitely worth their weight in aluminum heads! At the end of the day, the '85 is back on the road and running like a champ. We'll get some more traction soon, then we'll reel in that hood length on Patrick!
