I recently replace my B&B Tri-Flow shorty headers with American Racing headers and I only gain 6 RWHP and 9 RWTQ. WTF!!! I was so disappointed. Now the car runs very sweet and the acceleration and drivability is top notch! Just thought my numbers would be closer to the magic 400 RWHP. My final dyno results were 386 RWHP and 363 RWTQ. I posted my dyno graph so you can see for yourself.

I was comparing my mods with other A4s that have similiar mods but they are closer to 400 RWHP than I am. Is it the size of my cam, the headers I choose, or because I have 373 gears and and 3200 stall that it is reading a little lower?

Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

ive read that shorty headers are just fancy stock manifolds:huh:

thats why i went with the lg pros so i was guaranteed a big horse power gain:thumbsup:

1. it was 16* hotter the day that you got the 386 hp. Redo it at 70* for apples to apples comparison.

2. Did you have it retuned?

I would say that your tune is lacking. I mean SheriffD2 got 13 HP just from a tune no other work. You should look into that side of it.
