Read through this thread.
Thanks for the link. I don't mean to hi-jack this thread, however I want to perform the same mod on my 04' verte. I want the functional/GM ducts and not the fake, stick on - "looks only" version.

However, I really don't have the stones to cut into my car, so I'm looking for a pro shop around Tampa/Sarasota area that can perform the mod. Your earlier link had one comment about a GM/Chevy dealership doing it for around $200. However, I'm not sure if I would trust a dealership either. Oil change - maybe. Cut into the fiberglass? I don't know...

Can any SW members chime in?

I was a little weary of cutting mine out also. I taped off the area to be cut and marked off the template. I then took it to my local body shop and they cut it out no problem in about 15 minutes. I then drove back home and finished the install.

You will have no problems cutting it out yourself. I used a dremmel and a side cutting bit (The fiberglass is VERY soft and easy to cut) the weight of the dremmel did the work! ONE BIT OF ADVICE: make sure your template is down really good ( I taped mine down and cut with it still down so I did not scrach paint around where i was cutting). Also, cut INSIDE the line, you dont have to cut right on the line for it to look good because the grill covers all this. If you do cut too close you have a little room for error so thats why I said cut INSIDE the line- it is always better to go back and trim here and there till it fits. Good luck!

Actually, my cousin does have a Vette, but he doesn't leave it in Wilmington. He has a 75, Black, Pretty well built up and restored back to nice shape. He just got a Dodge Stealth TT that he's driving around there lately.

BTW, I didn't realize Factory Reproductions was the brand name, I am slow sometimes.

Check all his posts, he also sells them mounted and balanced with WIDE OVALS

for a great price, I found out after I bought my WIDEOVALS at Firestone dealer price, I was really mad he posted that other post about a 3 weeks after I bought mines.

DAMN!!!! That is a good price. Are they talking 590 for an entire set? If so, I'm getting them, no doubt about it.
