Ive been getting Crank warning's from everybody with takeing my car high into those rpms.

How much can a stock l98 crank really take? hsr power doesn't die until 6500rpms. Makeing it's max between 6100 and 6300 rpms.

lt1 is 5500rpms so i think that is safe for him.

But meh am i going to have a car with a busted crank lol?
The parts i have come from my friends Camaro z28 he ran the Hsr and that was a fast car. No problem with the crank, he ran this setup for a long time.

HP was 410 at the wheels on my setup.

How does the 1.6 intake RR and 1.5 exhaust RR work vs 1.6 all around?

Il going with a very very similar build yo yours 195 cc raceing heads32lb injectors merlose headers into x pipe into random tech cats into muffler eliminators etc etc.

my Goal is 430/430 at the crank.

How is your cam i have not choosen mine as of yet.

LOL! not my first it is my 2nd ;) i did a carbed 350 in a Z28.

But i do read ALOT for hours a day.

I think he is better off porting his tpi and getting new runners on a budget build.

Don't think the slowt1 "Vortec" designed intake is a good idea for the small gains he will get.

And i know ur the man vetteoz and i respect you as a great advice giver and knowledgeable builder so i wont argue with you like i do others. :thumbsup:

Anything vetteoz says is doable but meh porting your tpi and runners is much easyer no modding needed.
Looks like you believe everything you read on the internet.

I got the cam from HiTech Motorsport and they gave me the specs and the RR specs to get.

The cam I have is fine. A little lumpy at the bottom but nice to drive.

When u got the cam did you tell them the heads you were running and did they grind it for your needs?
Told them the heads I had and they recommended the HSR and a cam. Went with that.

Well work is in progress, i decided to moddify a HSR intake (almost done) ,i also got a pair of slightly used edelbrock performer rpm heads and comp cam Xtreme Energy 218*/224* .495/.503 112*LSA

Right now im just about to remove the old cam and then start putting the engine back togheter.
I wonder how much HP the engine will produce with this setup
Of course i will keep the 150hp NOS system so i guess it will be a fun car to drive. I really like the 6speed zf gearbox.
