..... using either the RPM Performer vortec or the RPM Air-Gap vortec may necessitate using a Holley carb, unless you will use a carb adaptor-plate to retain a stock Q-Jet, making hood-clearences even-tighter
(a buddy is going-through this same problem with his '80 Corvette, that's how I know some of this stuff ):

it seems that using #2116 will provide the most hood-clearence, while retaining use of a Q-Jet, even though the website says it won't, as other Corvette-owners claim it fits their late-C3s:
I believe the Performer vortec has about 1/2"-lower carb-pad than either RPM-style vortec-intakes.

Chevrolet 262-400 Small-Block V8
PERFORMER VORTEC (idle-5500 rpm))
Based on the popular and powerful Edelbrock #2101, this dual-plane intake is designed for the street rod, industrial and engine swap market utilizing 262-400 c.i.d. Chevy V8s with 1996 and later Vortec (L31) cast iron or the new Edelbrock E-Tec aluminum heads. Manifold has provisions for external water bypass and may be used on either Vortec blocks or 1995 and earlier blocks. No provision for exhaust heated chokes. Accepts both square-bore and spread-bore carbs and late model waterneck, alternator, HEI and air conditioning brackets.

Available with standard finish, polished or with new EnduraShine or PermaStar finish for a look you've got to see to believe, see Optional Finishes. For high performance engines operating from 1500-6500 rpm, see the Performer RPM Vortec manifold.

My friend, who ordered the RPM Air-Gap vortec for his set-up, purchased his pieces from Scoggin-Dickey in Texas, who said they'd switch intakes to the 'standard' Performer if his Air-Gap doesn't fit:
he will know about fitment issues in a few days.

I got ARP intake bolts from a performance shop here in town.

They went on my Edlebrock RPM Performer intake along with a Holley carb and a 3" element and 1 1/4" drop base air cleaner.

everything fit just fine:thumbsup:

btw, I have a '79 L82
