I have been doing steering system "core dumps" for the last several years since my retirement from Saginaw Steering Gear. I basically worked in the Steering System area of Product Engineering during my 39 years at Saginaw. I was the engineering supervisor over the power steering hoses, flexible couplings, and hydraulic seals for all of the Saginaw pumps and gears during the early 70s and 80s. So a lot of my engineering product experience was during the C3 era. It also helped a lot when I purchased brand new 1976 and 1980 C3s.
I was lucky to have a very helpful enthusiast post my C3 Corvette steering papers on his Corvette Faq websight. He even expanded it to include my papers on Chevelles and Camaros.
