Also post some pics of the yarn test

I was drawling a nose on autocad but school ended so I won't be able to finish. If I could finish a whole 3d model we could run in one of those aerodynamics's programs. I need to go pirate autocad so I can draw a model  I think solid work may work better though. I've never used it though

Hey Chris,

I posted some of the Stringray pics in the "My Photos" under my avatar.....If anyone is interested, I could dig up some more, but those are pretty representative of the whole batch. I don't really have the knowledge to interpret them, except to say I started out looking for pressure zones, but these only indicate laminar flow.....
Any one interested in starting a discussion, I'll be happy to contribute, although I'm going to be very busy the next month or two in the garage.

Are you running these caps?

If you need new ones I have a brand new set you can have if I can find them.

Nah, the ones on my car are just generic $10 baby moons. I like the simplicity of them over the OEM or other types. But if things go right, I won't be running any wheel covers at all in a couple months. Thanks, though.

I've offered before to run some simulations of airflow on the C3 if someone gets me a solid model in 3d or even simple 2d slices. I have access to the software and the computational power, I'll have to call in a favor to access to a fluid flow expert as my Computational Fluid Dynamics background is a bit weak...

anybody out there with access to a car size Laser CMM

Wish I could help you. I would love to see some of that. I bought a book last fall from SAE about "Automotive Aerodynamics" It's a big thick serious collection of various engineering papers, reports & studies. 85% probably of no use to me/us, but some of it looks to be fascinating. I just have so much other stuff to do I never get around to getting into it---It's not a book to just sit down and lightly peruse.
