Libyan President Muammar Gadhafi, who has launched attacks on his own people in a long-shot bid to remain in power, is “cornered” but still “lethal,” Senate Foreign Relations Chairman John Kerry (D-Mass.) said on Sunday.

“Muammar Gadhafi has lost all legitimacy. The only thing he’s fighting for is his and his family’s ability to continue to rule,” Kerry said during an appearance on CBS’s “Face the Nation.” “There’s no principle. … There’s no democracy. There’s no reform. There’s nothing else on the table. The only way he can stay is by violently taking on the people of his country, and that will not be sustained.”

“I believe he’s cornered, but he obviously remains lethal,” Kerry added.

He said the U.S. and its international allies should prepare a no-fly zone over Libya but stopped short of saying it should be implemented just yet. Kerry did, however, say he adamantly opposes sending in U.S. troops.

“The last thing we want to think about is any type of military intervention, and I don’t consider the no-fly zone overstepping that line,” Kerry said. “We don’t want troops on the ground. They don’t want troops on the ground. That would be counterproductive.”

Appearing on the same show, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said a no-fly zone was "worth considering" and agreed putting troops on the ground was a bad idea. But he wasn't convinced removing Gadhafi was crucial to America's interest.

"I’m not sure it’s in our vital interest for him to go," McConnell said, "but I think we certainly ought to look for ways to be helpful to those who are seeking to overthrow dictators, certainly short of sending in our own military personnel.”

Kerry said he expected the U.S. would soon provide military aid to rebels seeking to oust Qadhafi.

"That's trickier, but I would assume that a lot of weapons are gonna find their way there from one means or another over the course of the next weeks."

So right now Kerry is FOR ousting Gadhafi.

That means next week he will be AGAINST ousting Gadhafi.

Its only a matter of time before he flip-flops

Oh, now Obama started those too?

Sit down, I know this will be shocking to you...

Bush & Co. created the hated Patriot Act.. Obama continued it.
Bush started the Iraq/Afghanistan wars.. Obama continues them.
Bush started TARP, Obama tripled it, and continues it.
Bush started Gitmo, Obama continues it.

So you tell me, Mr. 1-liner, what is the difference between the 2? Besides Obama outspending Bush 7 or 8:1? No difference... meet the new boss, same as the old boss. All you liberals had these pipe dreams about Hope & Change.. and you got screwed. It's time to wake up and smell the bullshit.. your savior is nothing but another warmongering, bankster backing, phony.

All talk... Bush never once backed up his conservatism claim, and Obama has yet to live up to his socialist moniker. They maybe be what they claim, but their bosses make the call... fascism.
