There is a side story…the Vette went to my brother-in-law for a few years, I passed it by being I didn’t fit. He was a Naval Commander up in WA. While he had it, one of his friends did some “work” on it. The AC “stopped working” so he CUT IT OUT. Once I got into it, come to find out there probably was nothing wrong with AC, the actuator door control arm broke off. This Vette needing sooo much, his buddy thought it would be a good idea to do some **** to the motor. He put an intake, 600 Holley, RV cam, and a chrome timing cover. Like I’ve said, the motor was the best thing on the car.
