I saw an add for LG "street series" headers in Corvette magazine. Can someone please give me some information ? How do headers give you more power ? Also the picture looked like there were no cats, is that typical ? If you put headers on, do you have to get a tune ? I'm a little nervous about messing with the factory tune. Sorry for all the questions.. I'm trying to get educated on these things since I'm new to it all.. Thanks BK :huh:

Headers allow the car to flow more exhaust and will allow more timing if you get a tune. This will net out to more power. You should get a tune with headers. Lou sells "off-road" pipes with his header so CATs may be eliminated if the buyer chooses. Otherwise it is necessary to purchase new CATs to use with headers. It is illegal to remove CATs or disconnect any of your sensors.
If you are just looking for sound, get an exhaust without headers, no tune required.

I would go with just mufflers if your not looking for HP it is easer and less expensive. Also you don't have to worry about smog Here in CA its a pain But there are ways we get buy it.:laughing:
The LG street series do not come with the Merge Race Collector so it doesn't make the torque that the LG Pro Long Tubes do. I went with the Pro's with Cats. The Cats make the exhaust a little more mellow, plus the car's exhaust doesn't stink. Plus running the high flow Cats only costs you about 2 rwhp. Last thing is it's good for the environment. I picked up 26 rwhp with the LG Pro's with Cats.
