So im putting on the Lg Long tubes and the associated catless X pipe as well as a borla stinger cat back muffler system. I got all the old off last night in about 2 hours, no real major road blocks other than the very back bolt on the driver side on the manafold took about 15 min to get out due to the brake booster being in the way and i was only able to get a click at a time out of the socket wrench. My question is, for those of you that have already gone down this path, is there any major road blocks that you encountered putting in the long tube headers. Also did you have to loosten the motor mounts and lift the motor at all to squeeze them in. There is space there but not a whole hell of alot so id rather take the suggestions of someone that has done this then sit there all night trying to figure somethings out. All your help is appreciated.

The headers will go straight up from the bottom and it is helpful to have a second person to start two of the bolts for you- - we have done eight and all were pretty straight forward but make sure you check the threads for the 02 sensors as we have seen some buggered up with junk from welding the bungs in place.

Use the factory metal gasket and fully tighten the headers. Put the rest on loose so you can make adjustments etc . . . we do it in about 3-4 hours BUT we have a pit which is the best way to put these things in a C6. The above is factual what follows is 'sort of' factual.

My main job is to aggravate the customer by saying things like, "hell just toss that part out/what the hell is that/so you broke it - - he won't miss it." That really inspires confidence. I lucky, I can get some of the guys really shook.

I do the same thing to Jeremy when he tunes - - I tell the customers the car will never run the same again which is true - but in a good way.

FineVette,

My comments and $2 gets a small coke in Hanover - - prices are going up. My opinion still gets little unless it is about spines, pacemakers or ICD's. They get about fifty cents - if I am lucky. :D
