I've tried to contact the big shots of Corvette dealers to order a Z06. I've emailed Mr. Wonderful Rick Conti twice and never even got a response, not even a "Go Stick it !!" Does he really exist or is it like Zorro ? I've tried to contact the Big boys in Atlantic City who are the largest Corvette dealers in the world, or galaxy, and I don't even get a call back. You'd think I'd get a call back after spending $55K last year with them.

I've talked to three people who have Z06's. One got his from the local chevy dealer in Orlando, Florida. Another got his from our own small town dealer. The other guy got his from the Daytona dealer in relatively short order. Only one paid a surcharge above MSRP. I saw Spitzer is out of allocations, but after trying to contact him 3 times and no reply, I'm not impressed. I've heard Maxie took deposits but never came thru. Have those of you that got their Z06 dealt with large or small dealers ?

Thanks Rick for listening. I almost thought you were figment of my imagination. I can appreciate the demands of your time as a result of this site. Your follow up refers to numbers you provided but I didn't see any, not really sure what you're referring to. In any case, are the big boys being put on an even parity level with the little dealers ? I hear from rumors (maybe fact) that 2007 Z06 production is also sold out. is it True ???? By the way, I saw about 12 Z06 cars for sale on ebay. Part of our free market system, I guess, but it's sad people look at the car more for profit than pleasure. So, what do you think is the best approach to buying a Z06 in a legitimate way (not ebay) ?

I think you're being a little hard on Rick. He has been upfront and prompt with his replies on my quest for a Z06. I've had more communication with Rick, than the guy I ordered an 06 Z06 DSMO through in May Of 05. Yeah its true I won't be getting my DSMO Z06, but if it hadn't been for this site and Rick's order checker I never would have known. My salesperson didn't bother to tell me. You and I , along with alot of other people looking for a Z06 are in the same boat. I'm sure if he can Rick will help you. I hope you get a car.

Why don't you go to the Chevrolet web site and fill in the build and buy information. Then do a locate a dealer search. You will find out what is available on the ground at the last inventory. Grab the phone and start calling until you locate what you want. It will take some time, effort, and money but, it may yield the result you are seeking.

I appreciate the understanding guys and I also appreciate the enthusiasm....
It's unbelievable that I have other dealers calling and emailing too ...and that type of stuff takes me right out of business,

It's a little nuts now, simply because of the pent up demand of waiting as long as many of you have..and agian..without going intogreat detail that got me in trouble with GM...I simply dont care for the manner in which they allocate the Z...I have had other dealers call throughout the year asking how they should order the car, then I try to buy it and like you guys said..they porceed to say they'll trow it on Ebay or do an auction on the car....

let's face it...the market is not only hot but hard because we cannot order a Z06 as we do a coupe or convertible....for me to be bhind menas you guys have faith in me and I appreciate that.....don't think for a minute I blow someone off...nobody take stheir job more serious than me...

if I don't get to someone it means something is up.....and honestly., my boss has no clue of the magnitude and the incredible support we have beyond the showroom....I love it and I love you guys.....good or bad I always have and alwyas will tell it like it is. This way you can continue to count on me.
The one guy to be just a bit different in this crazy ass world we live in!

Patrick will be uploading my news video where I address the Z06 ordering process and man it is a process. I plan on returning a ton of emails yet this evening..count on it. Thanks for the consideration.....even when my allocation will be sold out and it will be.I will still be here to help understand the process as others try to confuse you, so here in DC and me...you can find...something you call HOME!:D
(cue up soppy music!)

To be completely fair to Rick, Yes, you did email me back and I appreciate it. The deposit for an 07 Z06 is very fair, and your way of dealing appears to be very honest and free of BS. I'm not sure I agree with a surcharge over MSRP, but I guess that's the price to pay to get what you want when you want (well sort of when you want). The question being do I want to take whatever rolls in or do I want it my way. Do I want a banana Z06 or do I prefer the red, and do I want to take a car that maybe doesn't have the 2LZ package option ? I guess its put up or shut time for me.

I would still like to hear from the masses who got their Z06's and how they got theirs.

I'm glad you mentioned this. I did just that. Within 30 minutes, I had 2 phone calls from the local dealers. The first call said my car was rolling off the truck right now. When I called her back, she confirmed she had the car I wanted. "What color did you want ?" she asked. I said red with either red or cashmere interior. "Yes, I think that's what it is" she replied. The she told me she had all the options I wanted and it was exactly what I wanted, a Z51. Wow !! Imagine that, a Z06 with the Z51 package !!! When I mentioned the Z06, she asked what that was. I told her it was a Corvette model, specifically the one I wanted. Oh, she said, did you want it as a coupe or a convertible ? Somehow when she did the transition from selling Tupperware to becoming a Corvette specialist, they forgot to mention specifics on the Corvette. Hey, its just another car, so what's the big deal anyway. So I told her I wanted a Z06 convertible with the mud tire and towing options. Ok, she said, I'll call you when I get one in. I don't know, but she might be a blonde !!!

The other dealership, which is owned by the same company, told me they could order a Z06, maybe. They get some in sometimes, sometimes not. He thought he saw one once, not sure though. At least he knew you couldn't get it in a convertible or the towing option.

I ask, is it any wonder GM is in trouble ??:smack :smack :smack

:rolling: :rolling: :rolling: She is a blonde! :rolling: :rolling: :rolling:

I went to a local dealer last week to show my kids a new Corvette. They had a red vert in the showroom. I asked if it had the power top option and the blonde sales woman said, "No." I proceeded to show my kids the car and I looked at the window sticker. Guess what I saw? The power window option! There sure are a lot of knowledgeable sales people out there! ;)
