I pulled the 2 plastic lumbar bags out of my C5 seat and sure enough plastic fittings were brittle so I called 2 local dealers for price. Both said $540.00. I said that had to be a mistake in the price list, someone added a Zero or something. Well they said "Thats the price" at which point I saved my breath as I know God will have to revise the Bible price list because who else at GM could do it.!

Wow, it just came to me -Im gonna be Rich just as soon as I can tool up and start manufacturing these things. I will sell for only $495.00 vs. GM $540.00.
Lets see $495 x 100 = New C6,Yea. Remember ,I asked the parts dept at 2 dealears if they thought a typo mistake was made and someone in GM just added a Zero?-No Comment Bub, we just tell you what we show as the price.
Please send me your orders along with a $400.00 deposit.:rolling:   :buhbye:

Fixed Lumbar for $9.00

Thanks for the helpful responses. I already figured out the fix but wanted everyone to see the nonsense that goes on at GM. I still think someone at GM typed in the wrong price, perhaps added an extra Zero. Anyway, glued kids pool inflatable inlets (the hose fits perfect inside it) with Inflatable raft glue. I am shelving plans to make these as i don't have the Heart to rip off fellow Corvette owners.:partyon:

Inflatable Boat glue

What glue did you use to repair your bladder, my side seat bladder went, was thinking of using bicycle tire repair patch.
PVC inflatable boat glue is best, I am a boater so had some 3M (5200) which worked fine but takes time to cure. I did order 2 of the aftermarket lumbar bags that come with a bulb to pump and will put them in the seat and attach the line to the seat air pump. I think they will give better support than the tiny GM bag.:D :buhbye:

Installed Core Bags-Great!

Thanks for the info, and who did you order the aftermarket bags from.
Hello: I ordered the Lumbar bags from Amazon, they are made in the USA by Core Products. The bags are Rubber covered with Velour which has 2 loops for a belt. Turned bag vertical, a little bigger but fits perfect, tied loop to seat frame, removed bulb and the line fits the Corvette inlets perfect. Much better feeling seat now. I emailed Core to see if they could supply us with a smaller bag for the side bolsters as now mine are also shot. I also sent a second email to GM customer service as their reply to my first letter was that they called a dealer and confirmed the $540.00 price
Duh? We already knew that, I want them to confirm that that is a valid price and not a typo mistake as only an idiot would pay that amount. The Core bag is much better anyhow. Here is a picture and I hope this has helped DC members as this seems to be a common problem.
