I was stumbling around on fleabay and came across several engines and other assorted components that are DIRECTLY compatible with our side of the world. I don't know if anyone else has found this possible source for blocks, heads, or complete engines. I know that Mercruiser used GM engines (still does) and the newer SBC's come with roller cams, windage trays and good oil pumps. There were some BBC's on there as well. Even the used stuff, if it's not been in saltwater or has "closed cooling" would work great with just a flywheel and cam change. Not trying to sell anything here, just making an attempt to give those that are looking an alternative source for some possibly cheap parts.

Here's an example:

Beware of Fleabay!

I stay away from Fleabay. I bought a crate engine and some other items there - got burned pretty badly. Unless it is local and I can go and pick it up, Fleabay is out of the question. Many Fleabay sellers are disreputable persons who can not survive outside of the fleabay environment. They hide behind their internet addresses figuring it is too much trouble for you to prosecute them once they screw you. And this makes it bad for anyone on fleabay who is trying to conduct honest business. Too much FRAUD. No more fleabay for me!
Don't get me wrong, I found some good deals there too, but the bad far outweighed the good.

its a damn shame but EBAY has a huge percentage of SCAM artists and it ruins it for the honest majority
