Looking for some feed back about Motorsport Technologies Inc. Have not seen to many post about this company, which kind of makes me wonder. But I really like the RWHP using the pro charger system, and cam that MTI states on there web page. But kind of torn between Lingenfelter's super charger, or even a 427 build, or MTI with its procharger. Thanks in advance for any and all correspondence.

I have issues with MTI's business ethics. I wouldn't hand them any of my money.

You are in Ohio... you don't need a big named tuner to make your car put out sick HP. Why don't you tell folks your goal and how much you want to spend?

:agree: Stay away from MTI to avoid risk. I have had nothing but bad experiences with them. Several times they have performed sloppy work leaving off parts and damaging my car, requiring return visits to fix their sub-standard work

Patrick,
Maybe 500 to 600 @ the rear. Just want solid, reliable work. Would love to find a great tuner close, I'm sure things break and would REALLY need someone close. If someone knows of one in Ohio I'd love to take a look at them. Sorry it took so long to get back, had to cut the grass, drink a few cold ones, etc. :D

Also thanks for the reply NemesisC5, appreciate your time. Looks like I'd better steer clear for now.

Stay away from those clowns. I went over to talk to them about getting some headers installed. 1st off they quoted me 700 just for the install, not including the tune or anything else. Then, after walking around the garage, it just looked sloppy. I don't think they give a damn since everything is so expensive there. :WTF If you're set on one of these two go with lingenfelter:thumbsup:

OSUVETTE,
Ive seen you on the forums before, like the avatar! Now that is a good eval, sloppy work area, equals sloppy craftsmanship. Thanks for the heads up. Checked the online BBB they have a unsatisfactory rating. Like I said, would love to find a tuner close. Thanks, be safe this weekend, its been crazy with the check points and abundant presents of lawenforcement. Almost got :spanked: by the road nazi's yesterday in the old paced by plane move.:D

Thanks, Spiderpat for the heads ups info on Jeremy for the PCM!:partyon:

Thank you for your input. It looks like LPE is a good choice. Mardis Gras, I did not get your post, but thank you for your time. Both of you have a safe holiday.

My LPE 403 puts 501+ to the wheels. Now that LPE offers the LS7 I would opt for the 427 S/b 560/570 rwhp

The warranty is a nice piece of mind.

A tuner for your car? Go to your dealership. They will install just about everything ( no cats except historic, etc.) and who knows a vette better than vette tech. Only bad part is to get it dynoed you'll probaly have to go somewhere else. good luck

I didn't know about MTI's bad service, however it does not surprise me at all. I had a bad experience with Custom Car Crafters here in Austin, TX. Ihhad heard they were great as they had hosted an episode of OVERHAULIN' in which Lance Armstrong's muscle car was restored, etc.....long story short my Vette was joydriven, vandalized, damaged, etc. The lowlives even swopped Delco batteries with my new one.....nearly had to take legal action iin order to get this squared away.

At any rate, when I managed to sneak and closely examine the entire site on which the shop is established I discovered what is basically a junkyard inthe rear of the building; the garage wasn't much better.

I have to agree that if the work area at this shop you visited was not satisfactory then well, you know the rest.....

As for Lingenfelter, well I don't think MTI is even in their class to begin with!

:agree: Very similar experience at MTI. Car was damaged...floor mats stolen, along with other parts...sloppy work with bolts missing, etc...car bumper damaged, then fixed poorly...electrial gauges not reconnected after install...Hell, I even found a bottle of mens cologne in my glove box and the owner admitted his manager sometimes drives customer's cars home sometimes!!...I could go on for days. MTI is a Lingenfelter wannabe at best.

Mallett Cars does some complete Corvette packages that at one time I knew you could take museum delivery on, although I have not kept up with them as of lately and do not know if that program is ongoing. Maybe someone here has the scoop and will chime in. I spoke with Chuck Mallett(the owner) by phone and he seems to be a straight talking guy that does not compromise quality with his packages. Additionally, I've heard Mallett assisted GM with some R&D on the development of the 2001 LS6 engines. Definetely worth a 2 hour drive to check out their facility. While you are there you might even see a Pontiac Solstice or a Saturn Sky with an LS2 in the engine bay as I know this is somthing they are offering now

LPE is # 1 no doubt. You want it done right, no issues and a warranty. CLASS ACT all the way. Never ever heard of a LPE bad story.
On MTI which one, isnt there two MTI's? One in Texas and onein Atlanta?
This one is MTI, but there site is motorsport tech?
They are the ones that have a rep like Hennessey VIpers.

The one in GA is getting very good reviews off of their ZO6 build up on that garage show, 2 car guys carage, or dream car garage?
