I had to jump my 2006 corvette ( AAA came) and now if i accidentally leave the keys in the car it locks me out. Can I make it only lock when I press the lock button?

The Owner's Manual should indicate how to set or disable nannies. Some of the factory settings are annoying, but you should be able to change some of them.

Go into the options menu and turn passive lock to off.
