My shortblock arrived Thursday by UPS Freight.

Texas Speed & Performance 402 LS2 short block.
- GM LS2/L76 Aluminum Block with full machine work.
- Callies CompStar 4.000 Inch Stroke LS1 Crankshaft, 24X
Reluctor
- Callies Compstar 6.125" H-beam Connecting Rod Set - Rated
to 900HP
- Wiseco Forged LS1 Piston Set: 4.005" Bore, 4.000" Stroke,
6.125" Rod Length, -8cc Dish, 1.115" CH; Wrist Pins & Steel
Top/Napier Second Ring
- LS2/L92 Conversion Package: LS2 Front Cover w/Cam
Sensor, LS2 Valley Cover, In Motion LS2 Single Roller Billet
Timing Set, Cam & Knock Sensor Extension Harness, & LS2
Lifter Trays
- ARP Main Stud Kit for LS1/LS6-Based Engines
- ACL LS1 Rod /Main Bearing Set


I currently have the following in the garage as well:
- LG G5X3 cam
- Edelbrock water pump (will be polished)
- Melling high volume oil pump (have to return the one I have, the plug to change the high/standard pressure spring is stripped) (will be polished)
- LG under drive balancer (will be polished)

To be ordered yet:
-complete Comtec gasket set (head, rear main set, timing cover set, valve cover, header)
- billet aluminum pulley for the Edelbrock water pump
- AFT 230cc V2 CNC'd heads

To be ordered/installed at a later date:
- complete Aeromotive fuel system (pump, lines, regulator, rails)
- higher flow fuel injectors
- 102mm LSX intake
- 102mm Nick Williams throttle body
- LG radiator
- oil cooler
- complete stainless braided line conversion
- meth kit

recruiter, ewwww....but that is still better than a DS or an AIT instructor....

working on getting the last few things I need to do the swap- mainly the heads, then I gotta lotta polishing and painting to do before it goes in.

Sounds Great man. Keep us posted, that thing is gonna be nasty!

I figure it's time to do something DA. Especially with all the "changes" coming I gotta recruit us some Infantrywomen!

you just made 1,000,000 dead paratroopers roll over in their graves...it will never happen, you know that as well as i do. just would not work. its hard enough to get thoem to do pt, much less hump a 100lb ruck or not get preg to avoid a deployment.

Me, Im droppin my warrant packet this summer after the next round of ASE testing in may....Chief is the best job in the military

the shortblock was $5,000. i am expecting to be around $12,000-$15,000 when I am finished. That includes:

- complete engine
- complete braided stainless hose conversion
- upgraded cooling system: LG radiator, aftermarket cooling fans
- upgrading fuel tanks to '04L style
- complete Aeromotive fuel system: A18670 fuel tank module (includes A1000 pump and in-tank regulator bypass), A13101 rail mounted fuel pressure regulator
- thermostat controlled oil cooler
- PFADT engine mounts
- meth kit
- new cold air intake (after I get my C5.5 front end)

Assuming I get selected for Warrant Officer Candidate School, that will give me about a $1,700 per month raise. Combine that with the almost intrest-free $35,000 loan from USAA when you become an officer I will be G2G to finish it in a relatively short time.

What I am planning on doing is creating my own C5r daily driver. Future mods include:

- C6 Z06 trans, rearend with 3:73 gears- both upgraded to support at least 750 rwhp
- LG diff/trans cooler, coil overs
- Corbeau A4 seats
- LS7 dry sump system
- C5.5 front end
- LSD doors
- functional rear wing
- Z06 rear brake cooling ducts
- carbon fiber vented hood
- C6 Z06 brakes
- Forgeline center lug wheels
- LG coil overs
- LG or PFADT sway bars,
- polishing/clear coating pretty much everything that is aluminum
- 6pt roll cage
- 5pt harnesses
- passenger side airbag disconnect switch
- drivers side air bag disconnect switch
- halo tail lights
- C5r style HID headlights
- clear marker lights
- misc interior upgrades
- new, brighter red paint job with 2 metallic silver racing stripes from front splitter to exhaust
- ZR1 style front splitter and rockers
- PFADT diff/trans brace
- NOS system (either NOS Systems or Zex brand)

lol oh no, it is not at the same time hahaha...engine then save for trans or diff, then save for the other, then save for suspension, then save for body, then save for interior....

unless i get picked up for warrant, at which time i will be able to drop 15-20k on it at once
