I feel your pain..

"I can't believe it. I've been driving for almost a year and never hit anything ever" -says the 17yo girl.

Best of luck with it.

:thud: It's alright, man.....Once her insurance gets thru cleaning her ass out, she and her parents will have learned a valuable lesson. Get the best bodyshop you can and go from there...Two to three weeks and you'll have the car back like new.

Make sure to get "diminished value" from the little girls insurance company. Make sure to tell them that no one will buy a Corvette thats been in an accident (whether that's true or not). Get your money, you'll feel better. I'd raise hell with the parents too

I hope the parents take particular note of the accidents root cause (cell phone). This is the main portion to be emphasized here.

Fortunitly nobody was injured, the car can and will be repaired. Ive been on both sides, been hit by youngsters and have had my 16 year old hit a truck 5 days after receiving license. I can tell you I was relieved when I found out nobody was hurt. As a parent I didn't need anybody to tell me what my responsibilty was to the other driver. Likewise I revisted my daughters driving privledges and abilities. It has been 5 years now and she has had no accidents.

*Taken care of*

The accident suxs and won't go away all that is left is to make it correct. Sorry bout this man hang in there and good luck.

Well i'll tell you what I threw a little tantrum out of anger but got over it quick and none of it was directed toward her but more toward the fact of my car being hit. Her mom told the police tahat she wouldn't have a cell phone no more which I heard her say, we were all nice to each other. Her dad was even nicer on the phone the couple of times I spoke with him. I'm upset about my car but there are no hard feelings cause I know it'll be fixed.
