I need to replace the mufflers on my 327 1968 convertible.

I was looking at the Magnaflow polished 14x9x5 2.25"

Since you partially see the muffler in the 68 I thought the polished would look good and provide a nice sound.

It currently has aftermarket headers and a "h" crossover pipe which are all in very good shape so I really only need to replace the mufflers.

I highly recommend Magnaflow mufflers both for sound and build quality.

The polished mufflers will certainly look great under the car.

I would advise keeping them clean after every drive when they've cooled down. Road grime will cook into them.

Also, after the new mufflers are installed, be careful to let the engine run until it reaches operating temp, every time you start it.

This will burn off all moisture in the system, extending the life of the mufflers and eliminating a lot of the moisture corrosion inside the muffler.

Good Advice

Thanks for the advice.

I never really thought about making sure the car is up to temp to remove the moisture. Makes good sense for sure.
