Well after much debate with the Mrs. I finally picked up my new 2007 Victory Red Z06 with 5 miles on the ODO.
As this is my 5th Corvette (two coupes and 2 verts), the Mrs. said I could get a new one, but NO Z06! She said "you can get an auto vert", but NO Z06! :whip:
After a couple of weeks of "conversations" she came with me on Saturday to look at verts and guess what was on the dealers lot... A couple of verts along with a Silver Z06! (I was actually kinda sad
because the Victory Red one I saw a couple of weeks ago was gone).
Dealer comes out and brings the keys for the vert and the Z06 and says which one you want to drive? :lookinup: I told the Mrs. "lets just drive the Z06 so you can at least see what it's like and then we'll look at the verts."
Took a quick ride up the street and back and I asked her "so what ya think"? She said "I do like it but my knuckles are still white"
After she saw the smile on my face she was like ok, if this is what you really want. (insert me picking myself up off the parking lot) :thud:
So we walk inside to start the "negotiations" and guess what's sitting on the showroom floor.

So after some of the usual haggleing, I ended up getting it for 2K under MSRP (sticker was 30K OVER MSRP :WTF at $107,230.00 :crazy: )
Also, just wanted to say thanks to everyone here. I've been looking and reading for some time now, and through all the great discussions etc... It really helped. I look forward to talking with everyone and contributing where I can. As with many here, owning a Z06 has been a long time dream of mine.
