Funny you should mention that... I have two cans of brake cleaner and a can of red high temp paint for just that purpose... IF it ever gets warm enough to paint up here!Really sweet wheels. Ever think of painting your break calipers?
I discussed this with John at CCW when I was working on my setup. Goodyesr lists the wheels as acceptible. John assured me they would fit and look okay... and they sure doVery sweet wheels but...
11 inches wide on a 285 tire???
I ran 17x11 with a 315, doesn't that stretch the sidewall?
Thanks for the compliment!Very cool. How did you get the custom logo centercap? I have sticker on my Ace Slicks and would love to have an engraved center cap. Does GM have a deal with that brand?
Brakes will happen... but I am not going any lower - it should settle a bit more... it is down to just above the bushings. They look great. Lower that thing and get some nice lookin' rotors/calipers!
Then, it's perfect.
Excellent! I wonder if your engraver friend works by mailorder. I have always wanted the same thing for my centercaps and started a thread on the subject a few months ago. Thanks for the compliment!
Nope, CCW does not do special engraving other then their own logo.
Actually, I ordered the wheels with blank center caps. I then worked up a logo file by modifying an existing picture of the C5 logo.
I contacted a good friend of mine (who is a jeweler) and he told me what format the file should be to work with his engraving machine's software.
It took 2 hours per logo to be cut, but it is just as I had envisioned from day one:thumbsup: .
