They were done in '74 shortly after I got the car. There was an article in Hot Rod magazine about a company (on Long Island - not Motion) they visited. Back then, "correct" was a word not known  . I was lately thinking about putting it back to stock but I've had it so long like this, I probably wouldn't recognize it - plus I have too many projects as is.
You know, if you could get a plastics guy to form a bubble to fit over those, then spray the inside of the recess silver - and mount a set of projector beams in the standard lamp zone...WOW...JUST WOW! It would be a C6 / C3 headlight design.
That would look insane in a good way definetely good idea but is it feasible maybe too much work and may also change the way the vette looks even though it looks different now

The place that did those were to provide molded plastic headlight covers and lucas lights  , but didn't:WTF. After they did the work and got the car back, I kept calling, calling and calling - and he kept stalling, stalling and stalling. They finally went out of business and I got screwed since my up front payment included all. I was going a couple of yrs ago, going to try the Datsun 240z covers and see how they would fit. Alfa Romeo also (but pricy) covers for their Spider. I liked the appearance of the front end because it reminded of of the Bizzarrini (which also had small block Corvette power).
