Phase two. Bumper cover is off to fix a clip that broke and to reinforce the splitter on the ZR1 body kit. Going to custom bend flat stock and sandwich the bumper cover between it and the splitter.

Second I’m going to rewire the driving lights to be on anytime the car is running. Then install 55w low beam HID upgrade. After that a HID upgrade to the high beams. Then finish off the body kit with side skirts.

This is how the clip broke. Had the bumper cover off when I installed an auxiliary trans cooler.

Bumper cover on new splitter installed with reinforcement. HID up graded lights done. ZR1 side skirts installed. Z51 rotors and brackets arriving tomorrow according to UPS. Going to town to purchase oil and filter plus dot 4 brake fluid. Hoping to go for a drive Thursday weather permitting, forecast partly cloudy high 65.

Well was informed that I well be upgrading the living room with a lovesac sectional. As retaliation for spending money on my corvette. Take a little give a little I guess. Down side is that I could almost buy a LS3 for what one of those things cost.

Yeah but supply problems are effecting everyone. Spent three weeks waiting for the rotors to come in. Pads are rare as hen teeth right now. You can get stock on certain ones but Peoformance pads are hard to come by.

Had it out for a short drive. Man the thing that made a real difference is the peddle commander. Have it set on city mode +4 acceleration is much faster. Changes the way the transmission shifts. It shifts quicker and crisper. Quite the surprise. Can’t wait to try sport and sport plus modes.

Just put a new two row radiator in my C6. Man it got tight quick between the rad and high volume water pump no room left for anything. Just enough clearance for everything to fit.
The only issues I ran into were the trans line fittings leaking,a little gray mega thread tape took care of that.
Test drive went flawlessly going to keep an eye on it for a few trips to make sure no I have no surprises. So far so good.
Looking forward to warm weather to see if cooling improves will keep everyone posted.
This is also a question that has bothered me for a long time.

Had the car out yesterday putting some miles on it bedding in the new brakes. Noticed that the car seemed more ridged. Bumps in the road seemed a little more pronounced than before. So I guess and this is just a guess, that the thicker torque tube plate I installed does make the car more ridged. Bumps are not bone shattering just more noticeable. It does keep the heat down in the console it seems, because of the insulation that’s built into it. Will know more this summer when the temperatures rise. All in all happy with the upgrades. Money well spent in my opinion not the in wife’s however.

An update on front splitter. As you may have read I ordered a splitter and spoiler from extreme online store. The splitter came in damaged. So after a few emails and pictures they sent me a new one.

I decided to repair the damaged one and run it a summer just to see how it would up. Now after a summer of miss treatment and I mean miss treatment because I showed it no mercy. I drug it on steep entrances, banged it on RR crossings, speed bumps, and curbed it. The only issue is the repair gave out. The rest of the splitter held up superbly a few scratches and scuffs but no brakes or fractures.

It is the unpainted one in ABS plastic. I have installed the replacement over the winter and am looking forward to many years of use out of it. I hate to admit this made in China Plastic splitter is one Tough piece of aero.

I had an issue with extreme online, damaged splitter, they will go out of their way not to honor shipping damage and returns. You have to wear them down to accept their responsibilities.
