I am looking to get a late 60's early 70's vette and I know the front changed on the 73 model year, but can it be made to look like the 68-72 fairly easy? Is it just a nose job or do all of the fenders and everything need to be replaced?

Yes it can but it will be more than just a nose job. The very ends of the nose
are made different from 68-72 to 73 so you just can't unbolt a 73 bumper and
bolt on a 68-72 chrome bumper. To do it right will require a complete front end.
Even the hood is different. 68-72 is shorter than the 73.

68-72 had GRP glass, the 73 is made of SMC.
Thanks for the info.... looks like I will continue to look for a 68-72

Much more involved than most people think. Fiberglass, frames, bumper bracketry, and the bumpers themselves all changed with the move to rubber. You could pruchase a 68-72 assembly instruction manual and a 73-up assembly instruction manual and compare the differences between the two installations to get a birds' eye picture of what's involved.

If you want chrome, buy chrome.

Where would one find these instruction maunals you are talking about?

I got mine from Corvette Central. It even came with a nice binder. Many of the Corvette parts outfits sell them.
