I recently purchased a '95 LT1 convertible and during normal stopping (no panic stops or slippery situations) the ABS activates 80% of the time. The "Service ABS" light is never on but does work. Any suggestions? Is there a sensitivity adjustment?

There is no sensitivity adjustment. The ABS depends on inputs from each wheel speed sensor to determine that it needs to pulse one or more wheels.

I'm assuming that you're feeling some kind of pulse in the pedal most of the time (80% by your estimate if I read correctly), which is why you're assuming that it's the ABS pulse.

It might be an errant wheel speed sensor, but I'd pull the wheels, check pad condition, and measure rotor runout to make sure that what you're feeling is an ABS pulse as opposed to a rotor with thickness variation.

It's definitely the ABS kicking in - the "ABS Active" light comes on, I can hear the pump working and can feel it in the pedal.
OK - do you have a factory service manual? You'll need that to begin the troubleshooting steps. If you don't have one, you can find the one for your '95 directly from Helm here

or search on eBay. Knowing the cost of the Helm unit will give you some insight on how much to pay on eBay.
