A pretty good editorial I read this morning, a little long but interesting none the less:

Last week, Staff Sgt. Salvatore Giunta became the first living service member from the Iraq and Afghanistan wars to receive the Medal of Honor, the country's top military award.

But like most of the brave men and women who serve, Giunta knows he wasn't out there fighting for medals or recognition, and he accepted the award with admirable humility and heartfelt acknowledgment of those who have died in battle.

Nonetheless, there are some on the right who were offended that Giunta didn't receive the full extent of the President's praise. Folks like Rees Lloyd, a civil rights attorney and American Legionnaire, who writes that President Obama's failure to salute Giunta, as is custom, obviously meant that he "loathes the nation he was so desperate to lead." The right-leaning blogosphere has been equally atwitter.

Obama never did serve his country

Nor would he or could he serve this country

Therfore he never should have ever been President

The dudes a poser to the max

And needs to be removed from office

Yeah, He's unpatriotic and will seek votes at any cost,

Even if he has to futher run America into the ground,

He's only in office to further his own political career

He cares little to nothing about America:nuts:

Good article. I agree that hugging rather than saluting the medal recipient doesn't mean he hates America. However, his clear disdain for Capitalism and profit-driven business does. America's prosperity was built on those concepts, and he clearly wants to change that foundation to one of Socialism and individual subservience to the community.

Obama unpatriotic? No, he's just ignorant

That makes me giggle!

I'd say he's both actually.

Well, let's see...as far as I know, Gen Petreus, who was 'Betray Us' when appointed by Bush, but was our savior when called by OBlahBlah was busy doing his job in Afghanistan, and he fired McCrystal, so those two weren't around...I suppose with his disdain for the military he must have had better things to do with his time than 'learn' the protocol required of 'The Commander In Chief' when bestowing the nations highest military honor...just sayin'...
