Although we ended up getting a little wet, we all had plenty of “Test and Tune” runs on Saturday’s season kick-off of the Great Lakes Corvette Challenge! Thanks for all who came out during the holiday weekend (even with a rain filled forecast). I was able to get in 7 test and tune runs. It was GREAT to see some new faces racing their Corvettes at the track. 2003 should continue to be an exciting year!
Bubblehead in his Polo Green C4 and BLUBYU2002C5 of Lancing, IL were staged for the bracket racing Finals when the rain hit at about 1:30pm. BLUBYU2002C5 had the Lowest ET Corvette of the day (he runs clocks off, so you will have to race him to find out if YOU are faster then his FAST blue C5). Bubblehead had the quickest reaction time during the bracket event. We will definitely get Bubblehead and BLUBYU2002C5 to line up again later in the season so we can officially declare a bracket race winner for GLCC race 1.
We hope everyone will join us again at the next Great Lakes Corvette Challenge, which is scheduled in Byron on Sunday May 4th, 2003. This is also the first “points” race for the 2003 GLCC season.
Hope to see ya at the track!
