My 2003 Vet has been garaged and covered since 2002 when I bought it
oil changes every 2000 or less miles and now has 7500 original miles. I
had to change the battery after 3000 miles dead cell and recently had an
oil leak near the drain plug. Took it in for sevice an repair to find out it was
the pan gasket that was leaking. Upon inspection found the mill work on the
bottom mate to the pan was poorly milled and had an uneven surface.
That does't speak to well for a hand made and quality inspected engine
very disappointing for my dream car. Has any one else had this problem?
Hope there are no more suprizes. Jim G.

the C-5 ZO-6 engines were not hand bult one at a time like the new ZO-6 engines. they were mass produced.

That also is one problem with not driving a car. That sounds like it would have been covered under Warranty. But letting a car set the small problems don't show until the Warranty has expired...

Common problem. There are about 4 oil seals which will all eventually get replaced. Buy a GMPP extended warranty, it will pay for itself. I just had the last 2 (literally, just last week) seals replaced. Not a big deal, change your seals and move on. You didn't buy a Ferrari, this is an assembly line american made factory car. Go drive the damn thing, beat on it a little more. It'll make you feel better !!  :smack
