I'm starting my own Corvette Police Department. And, Vette abusers like this are going to get life in prison!!!
Gerardo Ruiz e-mailed us photos of his father’s 1981 Corvette Daytona, purchased in 1985 and updated over the years with a Lamborghini Countach wing and custom paint. According to Gerardo, his father, Guadalupe Ruiz from Redwood City, California, ended up painting the car himself.
“He went to different body shops and they wanted to charge him an arm and a leg,” Gerardo explains. “One of the shops got mad because he didn't want them to paint it because of their prices, and the owner told him to go to the local hardware store, grab some brushes and paint, and paint it himself.
So my father took the advice, even though he didn't have any painting experience. He bought paint and paint guns, then painted the car to his desire. Later, he went back to that body shop, showed them the work he had done, and thanked them for the advice.”
