This will be my new base of operations for picture posts. A lot of you have seen and used them but there may be some who haven't.

I'll post these as I have time to, I have the pictures but I never saved the writeups so I'll rewrite them. I'll let you guys decide what you want to see from what I can offer. Here is what I have pictures of:

1- Differential overhaul and custom building. If you follow these procedures you can build a differential just short of a 12 bolt setup. Better then you'll find anywhere else.

2- POSI Tuning- IMO,the best way to build one. Mine do not chatter or hammer.

3- Differential pinion seal replacement

4-Side yoke play

5- Steering Box blueprinting

6- 1/2 shaft joint install

7- Rear Trailing arm rebuilding

8- Brake rotor runout dial in

These are the things I do for local and forum guys when asked. I don't know if I have any tranny pictures- I may have some for the TH400 I rebuilt or the 4 speeds.

Thanks

Gary

Gary I have learned alot from you. I remember when you asked me for advice and now you have become the master. I hard copy your papers and use them as my bible when doing rearends. I have used you kits a number of times and am always impressed with the quantiy of shims, the paper that accompanies them and your willingness to always share this knowledge.
Gary you know I am very annal about everything and your work far exceeds anthing I would do for myself.

hey Norval, haven't seen you in a while. Welcome back.

Gary, we'd love to see all of 'em as you get the time. Upload those pics here to DC and we'll never have issues with image links being broken

I think I'll leave her well enough alone for the summer, but next winter I'll be reworking the whole driveline rear of the tranny. Numbers 1-4 and 6 are what I'd be most interested in :D

I'm pretty sure #7 is around here somewhere. Might be in the C2 section.

Sir Mods. This will also have the makings of a timeless "stickey."
I think that is a great idea. If he will upload pictures and start a thread with instructions we'll stick it!

Hey Gary,

I'd be interested in seeing the steering box blueprint guide. Mike will be doing mine shortly and it would be nice to know what the hell he's talking about. He's tried to explain it, but I must be dense.

Hey Gary, I have most of your writeups on the computer at home, I'll send them to you this evening, give you a starting place. You have so much good stuff in there that it may be time to rewrite them to include all the ??'s you answered in the middle and end of the posts.
Keep em coming, good stuff

Zwede! I'm sure you don't know me from Adam but I've always enjoyed your posts - I know I can take them as gospel. Glad to see you made it over here!

Last word I heard from the rumor mill at CF was that a couple of companies were coming out with a KIT to convert the IRS to a solid axle. That would be AWESOME for us drag racers. I posted a thread many years ago at CF titled something like "What the Corvette REALLY needs". It's still in the archives. Got a zillion replies. What I asked for was the very kit that companies are now working on.
