I am finally ordering the short block for my '00 this week. It's been almost a year since I broke a valve spring which resulted in some piston face damage....

After much deliberation, I have decided on:

402 LS2 short block from Texas Speed & Performance
- Weisco forged pistons
- Callies Compstar 6.125" rods
- Callies Compstar crankshaft
- LS2 to LS1 conversion kit
- ARP main studs
- shooting for 11:1 compression

Other parts:
- Trick Flow TFS-3060T001-C02 GenX 225cc CNC ported heads
- LG X3 or X4 camshaft
- Melling high volume oil pump
- ARP 12pt head studs
- Comp Cams Pro-Magnum Roller Rocker Arms

Coming at a later date:
- FAST 102mm intake
- Nick Williams 102mm throttle body
- new style Granetelli MAF (currently have old style)
- new CAI once I get my C5.5 front end

I should see around 550 rwhp with this set-up.

I am hoping to get 600hp with this set-up. Not sure if I will get there, but I am quite certain I will be over 550hp.
How much is that setup gonna cost you?

all together, with the fuel system and such, about $10k....

called to order it today and was told the crank is back ordered and it will be 2 months before delivery- which would mean it would be delivered while im at ranger school so i will have to wait to order it...ugh....
