I uploaded some pics of the 79 to DC and they put them in Corvettes that need work section. I do not need work. She does. Shoulda been in the C3 forum . I think the body off will give me alot more of what I need but I need a print out proceedure to do it.

Does anyone have a printout or proceedure to takin the body off so I can roll the chassis back and pull the engine and tranny outta the thang? Nothing fancy now. Don't need no fancy pants wood frame or nothing like that. I want some old school sends. And I have the money to do all that fancy pants stuff.

I want to know what I have to do A to B to take the body off the 79. Bottom line. I am buying another vehicle and I WILL do this one at my pace and not no one elses. OR she is gone to e-bay and no more C3 forever. If you reap what you sow then they are not doing me righteous. Seems the more I cater to their needs lately the more they expect. Anyone have that problem? What? a Bat or a can of gasoline?

I ugh apologize to those who have WIP and I wish they do not use me as a referrence for doing one. I bought her in 02 and was a good Corvette except the brakes and rear end lube. Now lookin back, I shoulda just left her the way she was with her little whims and complaints. Now she has come to the stage of "High Maintenance" witch if I drop 20 G in her will be no big deal for me. I am not in it for no investment. Just the pure pleasure of driving a C3 again. I got in a bad wreck in 01 (DAMNED FORD FROM HELL). Then came to my senses and bought another Corvette instead of a Ford Truck or a Harley. The Harley was nice man. But after owning 3 "Sweets" and getting the 79 for the SLOW LANE ( Just Cruizzin and kickin it) I came to the realization that even though I was non complacent with the HP that it WUZ the best move for me. Just enuf HP to get me trouble but only at home. No drinky an drivy.

It is a labor of love and sometimes it gets to me like I guess all the other guys and gals here with their own so called "Wip's". Just was adding up the things to fix on it and it was like OH, all that? Just cuz someone other than self wants me to do that to stay with the status quo. She was fine when I bought her and I think I shoulda left her the way she was after the new brakes and things. But no, not me. I had to make her a resto. I know guys who did not do a darn thing to the C3 other than put new brakes and pads and drive them daily. Sometimes I wander if they are not right and we all wrong. I think the more they stay in the garage area the worse they get. Cuz let me tell you the honest truth. I drive it mabey twice a month and she is chompin at the bit for more everytime I take her out. I should take her on a 300 mile trip with a AARP CARD and do her right. I have the money to buy a ZO 07 but not willing to pay for the Status Quo when the C3 is in my opinion the BEST CORVETTE EVER MADE! Never even drove nothin else but them in 58 yrs. Rode in a C1, and C2. Awesome. A bit of a rattle trap but the BIG BOYS know that is the way they want um. Who the hell wants a Corvette that puts you to sleep! :D

Thanks for the encouragement . I just wish I had the tools to take the body off the darn thing and then the engine would come out easier. Sometimes I wish I woulda just left her the way she was after putting the new brakes , pads and lines. Now, I am stuck without any paint on her. And all the inner linings are out and one seat. And the engine has a bad cam but it still runs like a top. Gone synthetic Purple oil with it. Might help the motor last a bit longer until I can find a decent mechanic to take it apart and fix it right. In the meantime I MUST find a spare ride. The 75 needs brakes and a whole bunch more work than the 79 to it. I wanna C5 so bad. And then I can work on the C3's when I can get this body of my own to do more and not fix for two weeks and then put it all back together and come back after running errands and tearing it all apart again. This has been going on since 02 and I have come to the realization that I need a spare vehicle and not all this playing mechanic back there. I am just still learning and always ask advise from these guys and gals around here that are in the Know. And trust me these people know what they are talking about. It is just hard being somewhat handicapped ( physically challanged at times). But I do the best I can. Again, thanks for the encouragement. Sometimes when I think about all the things I wanna do to make it right, it is almost overwhelming. If I was doing this inside a closed building it would be alright , but it is just under a carport area. :thud:
