'08 Base Coupe Auto. My first paddle-car. When downshifting using the paddles, the engine revs up to match the car speed before the lower gear engages. In reality, I think the engine revs up a little too much (or maybe the higher gear is too slow in disengaging?) and SOTP it feels like the car actually speeds up a bit before beginning to slow down. This is pretty disconcerting when approaching another vehicle from behind and paddle-downshifting to slow down instead of using the brakes. Is this normal tranny/engine operation or is it something I can have corrected by a dealer under warranty. Thanks.

We can help with the that with our A6 tune, the dealer cannot make changes to the program. The car will still rev match, but the gear change will happen much faster, so it feels more correct in the rev match.
