Finally had some time today to paint the calipers. The red just wasn't working for me.

Began with this

Cleaned them real good with Adams all purpose cleaner and followed that with brake cleaner.

Used a Duplicolor Black kit.

Used a razor blade and some sandpaper on a stick to clean up the lettering.

Final result.

I like Black Calipers. Yours look great:thumbsup:

I had my Stock Calipers painted black and when I upgraded to the Brembos I painted them black as well. Red would not look good with my color.

Thanks. Got the backs done on Monday and drove it to work today. No more rusty rotors. Couple more pics.

Very nice. I'm sure they'll be good for a few compliments.

Are those ghost flags on the paint? They look neat.

I've been working on a paint scheme for my 81, along

those lines. (for down the road).

Yes sir. They aren't painted on though, only decals. I wasn't sure if I'd like it but its really grown on me.

They carry from the back over the deck lid to the fuel door. Then on the other side they're on the hood and down the passenger fender. Not too subtle, but not too in your face either. I would definitly have them painted on if I ever had the whole car re-done.

Thanks for the information. My younger son owns a window tint and vinyl business. I'l have to get some vinyl from him and try it out, when I get a chance.

Once again, great looking Vette.
