Very interesting monologue, and I agree with everything he said. However, it's a very difficult subject if one is really honest. The greatest external danger to our country in the next couple of decades will be terrorism. The tool kit needed by those charged with protecting us from terrorism is different from the tools needed to protect us from everyday criminals or from aggression from other countries. I want their tool kit to be adequate to protect us from terrorists, but not so full that citizens lose their privacy and liberty. It's a tough balancing act, and I doubt any two people would agree on just where the line should be drawn.

FDR actually nailed it, "We have nothing to fear, but fear itself".

And this has become a nation of chickens..

It's not fear to be vigilant and proactive in protecting your homeland. The world has a lot of very evil people in it.

Political correctness.

The scourge of this nation, supported by our leadership who possesses not enough grit to fill a thimble.

Pathetic.

but, the revolution is coming. Sooner or later, one way or another, it's coming. Americans are finally getting smart to the bull-peosi that has infested Washington for decades.

The big question is which will come first? Default and bankruptcy of the federal guberment, resulting in chaos and anarchy, or a polititical party with the guts, and support to fix things.

I hope for the latter, but, expect, and are preparing for the former.

But who are the evil people???? If you live in Iraq and a bomb drops into your house and kills your whole family, wouldn't you think the country that dropped that bomb is evil? Good and evil are interchangable ideas depending on what side you are on. Remember that to many Muslims we are the great Satan. Remember that many fundamentalist christians see pornography and homosexuality and adultery the same way those we call eveil see those same issues. Are those Christians evil?

We do not need to allow our country to become a prison to give us a feeling of safety. What we need is liberty to show the world that we are not afraid and that terrorist tactics do not work in a country that loves freedom.

All due respect brother... this is one of the biggest pitfalls to disbelief in a creator. You are incapable of recognizing and then designating a person or act, as evil. Therefore... you are incapable of fighting evil.

A full grown man kidnaps, beats mercilessly -and then rapes a child of adolescent age. After he has finished and while there is still breath left in her... he removes her limbs and sends them to her mother in a box in the mail... to taught her.

Is he evil ?

Machine, you know better. Anyone - ANYONE - who sets out to purposesly kill innocent civilians for the purpose of furthering their own cause is evil. If you can't see the difference in purposeful terrorism and war casualties, ....well.... I know you can.

IDK Tex, my idea of security is making sure the terrorist (generally brown skinned people, of Muslim faith, aged 19-39) are properly screened.

Now, the governments idea of security, is offering up our children and elderly for molestation, leaving our borders open, and wiretapping you and me.

Your gonna have to point out the whole "fighting evil" thing to me, because I just don't see it..

Well, to those civilians getting bombs dropped on their house, we are the terrorist. I can't justify your calling them war casualties, they are profit casualties. We aren't at war with Pakistan (yet) we have no good reason for bombing civilians in Libya, Afghanistan has been/always will be a clusterfuck and when your in a quagmire, you can't call it war.

I no longer fear another terrorist attack. After all, they have an operative in the White House that is destroying the Republic from within.
