The C6 Z hit 1:22.4 and I think it would have done better on the track with different tires. It should be running about what the Ford GT runs as that is what it runs in every comparo with the Ford GT. I really think that if it wasnt on run flats it would be a bit ahead of the Ford GT and probably the SLR.
With that said the SS is suppose to have some better tires and if its power is 650+ and its weight is under 3,000 pounds then I would expect it to run around 1:18.--
If the SS has a launch control and decent tires, 4th is possible. But a lot depends on the start, which they proved with the horrible start they got with the Z06, and still ran a 1:22.4
Yeah, with a 4 second difference between the C6 base and the corvette, the SS should get close to 3-4 seconds better, right? That would put it right near the amazing Carrera GT. Zoinks. What man could be brave enough to drive that vehicle (SS)?
