Well, got some new plugs and wires done this weekend. Only 36K miles on the 01 but for peace of mind. AC Delco iridium and MSD wires. Now I remember why I hate doing this job. I just don't bend and contort as good as I used to. Also got the coolant system flushed and fresh Dexcool and water wetter added.

You're way early on the plugs and wires Sarge! I would have at least waited until 60-80k.

Plugs are cheap

And make for a nice idle and throttle response

What kind of wires did you buy ?

The wrong ones have known to create an issue and wear out too soon also. That's why I stuck to stock ones.

I know 36k miles is early but age wise over 10 years. I went with MSD wires. It did seem to feel like it had a little more pep.
And who knows I might be to old to change them come 60K miles!
