I went with the black framing and silver star bulbs, looks like the black frames are a few bucks more than the clear for some reason (Ebay). Either way, when using the silver star amber bulbs, you get a nice 3-D effect, they look even better in person. BTW, your Z is lookin' good Dave.artyon:

 

I'd say all clear between the two. Though I've also thought that the stock orange part always gave it a meaner look from head on... especially against blue.

Someone actually carries a painted to match piece that sticks to the outside of the lense, I just can't remember who, maybe they were on Ebay??? They didn't look too bad either.

 

I like the all clear ones, especially on a balck Vette.

 

Did you put the stock yellow signal bulbs in?

How do they look when they are flashing? Are they yellow enough to avoid a ticket?

I put the sylvania chrome coated bulbs in my clear euro tails, they maintain the clean look of the clear lenses when off but they flash and light up just as bright (if not brighter) and just as yellow(amber) as regular bulbs.

Whichever way I end up going with these front lenses, I'll use the same coated bulbs.

 

I'd go with the all clear on the EB. On black maybe the black/clear ones
