I finally got a tune up for the summer hoping it would fix a few problems i knew i had. Anyway, I got the rear wheel bearing/hub assemblies replaced, , new plugs, plug wires, new shocks all the way around, new tires, trans service, coolant service and a tir rod replaced.

While I had it there, the mechanic said i needed one of the u joints replace in one of the rear axles. Since i found a set of all 6 joints on ebay (4 axle and 2 driveshaft) for about $90, is it worth replacing them all at once rather than just the one???

Also, I was having some problems with the engin running really rough at times and thought that the new plugs and wires would help, but driving it today, it was doing the same thing. I am guessing the cause to this problem now is a new optispark. Does the rough running sound like problems others have had before having to replace their optispark??? Should I have them replace the water pump at the same time???

Any guesses on what labor would run me to have this all done?

What do you think of these parts???

I'll be sure to stay away from the greasable joints on ebay and order from ecklers or zip products.

Any help on the optispark/water pump would be great from anyone who has had to deal with that on their vette.

Thanks!
