I posted this on the other forum but would like as much input as i can get. I'm still very much on the fence with this and don't know which way to go.

I bought Black Chrome and some Flat Black.

Goal is to just be different, no gloss black for me.

I'm familiar with the flat as i've been using that color in rattle cans up till now. I'm just not sure about the look once it's in the car and has gotten a bit dusty.

The Black Chrome on the other hand is different... only issue is it shows EVERYTHING. seeing as how my parts aren't flawless under certain light it'll show a bit much...

turned my blasting box into a temporary powder box.

If the car was going to be some other color I'd think about it. But i'm 99% sure i'll be painting the car black.
Plus i'm not that crazy:smack

I am using red as an accent color to pop on some parts.

Some of the older stuff i did with a rattle can.

Flat Black looks awesome.
The red accents are going to look nice.

I did gloss for ease of cleaning, but I bet I will have to keep up with it!

Flats are so much harder to keep clean I'll take a gloss finish anytime.

The parts you're coating won't get direct sunlight to show off the pimples.

Are you hand sanding the parts after blasting to remove embedded media?

Please use the red sparingly, we've all seen completely stock commuter sedans that had everything held on with less than 4 bolts removed and painted red. Type R(ed) for sure. Those guys have tainted red accent parts forever.

I wish they'd go to green accents to match their monster energy drink stickers. Red and green are so tacky together.

Maybe that'll be the new insult. Calling somebody's ride Type M cause it's sporting eleven energy drink stickers.

good luck
