If the problem goes away when you disconnect the brake booster, then you have narrowed it down.
Cut .5" from the ends of all the vacuum lines from the manifold to the booster. Check the condition of the port seal on the booster itself, and see if it solves the problem.
If it still exists, and disconnecting the booster is still a solution, then your booster is leaking internally.
