help guys my driver side window stopped working i mean just stopped was always slow the pass flys up but the ds was always slow then yesterday it just stopped anyone got anything as to what it could be?:huh:

Sounds like the window motor died and needs to be replaced

The window ribbons on C4's are notorious for going bad. Sounds like either the ribbon is binding up, or the motor went south. The ribbons are fairly cheap, but your going to have to take apart the door and take a peak to see what's actually going on.

thanx guys i ordered a ribbon as they r cheap as said ill get to it today n let ya know whats up any one know if the window motors r vette specific or r they just standard gm ?

They're vette specific, and by year too.

well guys checked out the window and the ribbon is worn but still intact it was the switch if you just push it nothing but if you push it hard it works so im gonna replace the switch and when the ribbon comes in ill replace the ribbon thanx to all you are the best:thumbsup:
