I had a problem with my 1989 wouldn't start. I was told to check the battery. I changed the module and it sarted up but I got a low idle with the air on about 6000 rpms. About 8000 with it off. Any help would be great.

The IAC, or Idle Air Control, is attached to the passenger side of the throttle body. You'll have to remove the throttle body to access it, and I would recommend cleaning the TB while its off also. Be careful not to scratch the inside of the TB, OR spray/soak any cleaning solution into the throttle position sensor (located above the IAC). Once it's removed, you'll noticed the pintle on the IAC will be really carboned up.
