Well I am so close to getting the car on the road and driving it on the road for the first time since i bought it in April. For those of you who have taken apart your steering column, is there a piece aside from the horn contact carrier that connects to the horn button? I wasn't sure how it works. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide. Also, I appreciate the help I have received from members here, it has really helped troubleshooting and I have learned a tremendous amount of corvette knowledge. :cheers:

From the picture, the pin sticking out goes thru the steering wheel and touches the pad that goes on after the wheel. That makes your ground when you push on the center. If you like a challenge, try to put the pad on the wheel WITHOUT beeping the horn.

Oh yeah i forgot had the bat disconect turned off. either way you put it back together without the manual,quite the jig saw puzzle.

I forgot to mention, I have an aftermarket steering wheel and hub (to my knowledge). I think I may have things figured out, I appreciate all the help you guys.
