ok here goes i really have two questions to ask 1 if you buy a vehicle from a person can you bring the vehicle to a mechanic to have inspected and if the person says no then what and how much does a mechanic usually charge to put vehicle in the lift and check out and what should you be looking for when a novice looks at for inspection since i am not really mechanically inclined i know its alot of questions but i have to ask since i will be purchasing verte in the near future thanks for your help guys and gals Dont want to be taken

If your looking at a car and the owner says you can't have it inspected walk away you don't want it.

A reputable mechanic will know what to look for. Cost verys in diff areas...

(1) if the seller won,t allow it to be inspected by a reputable dealer/mechanic WALK AWAY and be very sure somethings wrong.
(2) prices vary wildly but the $100-$150 for a totally through inspections about average, $50-$80 for a brief inspection
(3) mostly looking for acident damage, missing or wrong components rust, exxcessive wear, parts needing replacement and strait frame and suspension, signs the car was abused or well cared for
