I'm about to do a radiator flush on the '78. Where is the radiator petcock? Is it accessed from above or below? Is it better to just undo the lower radiator hose? Should I use one of those prestone t valve flush fittings on the heater hose with a garden hose? Is it important to remove the engine block plugs? Where are they? Are they difficult to remove? I fixed a radiator leak a year ago with stop leak. Will prestone radiator flush restart the leak?
Thanks to all.

Sounds like you have most of your answers.

The radiator drain is under the radiator, passenger side. Lower hose drains the radiator AND the block down to the water pump level.

Yes remove the two block plugs, and you might have to push through the sediment on the inside of the block to get it to drain all the way.

Follow the instructions on the Prestone radiator flush for a step by step.

I believe the Prestone product will probably open the leak. I highly recommend replacing the radiator. It has an issue, and left unchecked can leave you in an unsafe situation, maybe on the side of the road somewhere.
