The last couple of days the fans have come on right at start up. This isn't right:huh: Is there a way I can check and fix this, or is it best to take it to the dealer?

I'm asking because I'm an old fashioned guy that has zero electrical expertise and even less on computer controlled cars.

Both fans?
is the A/C off when you start?
any other odd things happening?
the Fans are both controlled by the PCM. have you made any changes to the car recently?

I would start by checking if the PCM is commanding the fans to be on.. if not I would check for shorts in the circut to see if something it turing the relay on or if the relay may have arc'd itself to be stuck on. if the PCM is commanding the fan to be on I would check the coolant temp sensor I'm not shure without a diagram but I believe there are 2 sensors one for the gauge and one for the PCM. thats where I would start. and I would use a voltmeter and not a test light because I always hear about how someone blew up a modular (such as a pcm) using a test light..
